Our U12s Town side turned the tide in the second half to claim a thrilling 4-2 victory over the visiting Bridgwater Wolves team.

Wellington found themselves trailing 1-0 just before half-time.

However, the tide turned shortly after the break when Cass Letten delivered a stunning equaliser with a well-placed shot into the corner of the net, making it 1-1.

The momentum shifted further as Wellington took the lead thanks to forward Charlie McAlpine, who capitalised on a poor clearance.

But Bridgwater Wolves weren’t done, quickly responding to level the score again.

With just ten minutes remaining, Cass displayed his skills by weaving through defenders into the box, only to be brought down, resulting in a penalty. Captain Freddie Andrews stepped up and confidently converted the spot kick, putting Wellington 3-2 ahead.

Not satisfied with the lead, Cass made another electrifying run in the final two minutes of play, bringing another foul in the box.

Once again, it was Freddie who took charge, scoring his second penalty of the match to secure victory for Wellington which puts them joint top after two games.
