Somerset County Women’s League Cup: Wellington Ladies 0, Nailsea United Ladies 6
Our Ladies faced a tough test against Nailsea, who play two divisions above them, at the Playing Field yesterday (Sunday, October 27th).
All things considered, they did well to restrict the visitors to six goals with the defensive line staying high and catching them offside on numerous occasions.
The first half ended 4-0 and the Ladies were determined to improve after the break which they did.
With a few positional changes, it led to more runs towards the opposition goal and Nailsea only managed to add two more to their tally.
Player-of-the-match was Charlotte Holder for her many amazing slide tackles and her leading of the back line.
