Wellington Town U12s continued their winning streak with a stunning 7-0 victory over Ruishton, marking their third consecutive win.

The young side came out strongly, with Felix Emes scoring the opener just four minutes into the game.

Ten minutes later, Charlie McAlpine doubled the lead, skilfully finding the back of the net.

Wellington’s momentum surged as Theo Windsor made it 3-0 after calmly converting a penalty in the 28th minute following a Ruishton handball.

Cass Letten added to the score with a well-taken goal in the 36th minute, and McAlpine secured his second of the day with an impressive header in the 48th minute.

Rushton’s woes continued with an own goal in the 50th minute, and Reuben Prouse capped off the rout with a spectacular volley in the 58th minute (pictured above).

Wellington’s defence was rock solid, thanks in a large part to captain Arthur House, who earned man-of-the-match for his outstanding leadership and composure at the back.

Wellington United U12s scored a late equaliser to secure a hard-fought draw against Rhode Lane Wanderers.

After observing a minute’s silence for the fallen (pictured below), Wellington went 1-0 down in the first five minutes.

The setback fired up the lads to start playing really good football with some great link-up play without being able to finish.

That was until a screamer up the pitch from centre back Oscar Boucher found Leo Upham who slipped round their defender to hit home the first equaliser before half-time.

The second half started a little slowly for Wellington with the defenders really being tested.

They went 2-1 down in the first third of the second half, leading to some tactical changes in an attempt to change the game,

Wellington, then on the front foot, really started to make some chances until an assist from Leo Upham saw Blake Mead score another equaliser, only for Rhode Lane to score again with minutes to spare,

Wellington kept pushing forward looking for the goal and, with three minutes left, Blake found the back of the net again, assisted by Harry Newstead.

Wellington kept fighting and pushing forward only for the game to end 3-3.

Manager Steve Newstead said: “The lads really showed fighting spirit to keep pulling back and I’m really proud of them all.”

Coach Richard Upham added: “The boys today they are not quitters – well done to all”

Man-of-the-match was Blake Mead and Wellington’s player-of-the-match was Leo Upham.
