We have been delighted to support Saturday’s ‘March to the Mallet’ charity walk involving two of our fellow Jewson Western League clubs.
Supporters are walking from Street to Shepton Mallet ahead of the game between the two sides and all proceeds will go to 2Wish.
The charity supported Street player Harry Foster – also a teacher at St John’s CofE Primary School, Wellington – after his 15-month-old daughter, Olivia, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in October last year.
All Western League clubs have been asked to donate a shirt for the walkers to wear and both Wellington and AFC St Austell handed them over to Jon Burr, fundraiser and former player, before Saturday’s game.
All the shirts will be auctioned off after the walk and there’s also going to be a charity match at Street on Sunday, December 29th – you can donate by CLICKING HERE.
