Stitch2Print Devon and Exeter League premier division: Wellington Reserves 1, Colyton 2
Despite dominating the game for long periods, our Reserves were desperately saw their winning run ended by Colyton at the Playing Field yesterday (Saturday, February 8th).

Wes Poulsom was man-of-the-match and he is pictured being congratulated by skipper Tom Davies on behalf of match sponsors JAB Electrical Supplies.
After three successive away victories, they welcomed back leading scorer Jack Bryant from injury and both he and Ben Evett had early opportunities.
But it was Colyton – beaten 5-1 by Wellington only two weeks earlier – who took the lead, scoring after keeper Rob Hall had blocked their first effort.
The hosts drew level on the half-hour when a free-kick from the right was knocked back across goal for defender Sam Bryant to net from close range, only for Colyton to regain the lead just before half-time. A long ball was flicked on for their striker to race clear and shoot past Hall.
The second half was one-way traffic with Wellington launching repeated attacks on the visitors’ goal.
But Jack Bryant saw a header spectacularly turned over by the keeper and another header come back off the foot of the post.
