This week’s heavy rain has taken its toll on the local sporting programme with our first team suffering their fourth successive cancellation

We had been due to take on Street in the premier division of the Jewson Western League today (Saturday, February 22nd).

But the Playing Field pitch was ruled unfit after a 9.30am inspection which included a video consultation with the match referee.

Next up for the the Tangerines is the visit of league leaders Clevedon Town next Saturday, March 1st.

Our Reserves’ away game at Lyme Regis has also been postponed but the A team’s fixture will go ahead – they host Galmington on the 3G pitch at Court Fields School, kick-off 2.15pm.

In the Somerset County Women’s League, the Wildcats’ home game against Middlezoy tomorrow has been switched from the Playing Field to Court Fields and now kicks off at 11.30am, but the Ladies’ match away to Pen Mill Reserves is off.
