Jewson Western League premier division: Wellington 3, Street 2
An excellent second half display saw Wellington come from behind to make it back-to-back wins at the Playing Field tonight (Wednesday, April 2nd).

Miles Quick was our man-of-the-match and he received the award from assistant manager Matt Hesford on behalf of sponsors, R&M Wholesale.
The Tangerines had ensured their premier division status by beating bottom-of-the-table Welton Rovers on Saturday.
But this time they faced much stiffer opposition and they had to recover from conceding an early goal to beat mid-table Street.
The visitors, whose squad included five former Wellington players, were quick out of the box and went ahead after only five minutes through Freddie Hayden’s well-struck shot on the turn from outside the box.
After that setback, Wellington gradually edged their way back into the game and should have equalised five minutes before half-time.
Josh Baker was sent tumbling in the box but Sam Towler’s penalty was well saved by keeper Rhomey Hammond – the skipper’s third failed attempt from the spot in successive games.
But Towler for than made up for the miss in the second half by having a hand in all three Wellington goals as they took control of the game.
His corner after 66 minutes was missed by Hammond for Baker to nod home and, two minutes later, another perfect delivery by Towler was met by Glen Wright whose header sailed into the far top corner.
Wellington’s tails were now up and they looked to have made the game safe by scoring a third goal with nine minutes remaining. A cross from the left by Baker was touched on by Towler for first-half substitute Phil Mendonca to drive home from ten yards.
The Tangerines had defended well throughout the half and Tom Stone typified that effort with a superb block to keep it at 3-1 only for the resulting corner to be bundled over the line to reduce the deficit.
That meant a tense end to the game but Wellington held out for three more points to move up to 14th in the table – CLICK HERE.
They now play their fourth successive home game on Saturday when Saltash United visit the Playing Field.
