Jewson Western League Premier Division: Wellington 5, St Blazey 2
Wellington stretched their winning run to four matches with a superb victory over St Blazey at the Carly Press Ground yesterday (Saturday, November 1st).

Our player of the match was Nathan Byrne and he received the award from Barry Hamilton of Magenta Alarm & Security Systems Ltd who sponsored the game.
Going into the game after an 11-day break, the Tangerines were without influential skipper Glen Wright who is suffering from a calf injury.
But they handed debuts to Harvey Field and Callum Thomas — two new defenders signed from Brixham — and both fitted in seamlessly as the home side produced an impressive attacking display.
After an even opening, Wellington took control midway through the first half with two goals in three minutes from in-form winger Nathan Byrne.
The first came on 26 minutes when he cut in from the left and rifled a fierce drive past the visiting keeper. Moments later, skipper Miles Quick released Byrne, and he coolly slipped the ball home to double the advantage.
The Cornish visitors, unbeaten in six league matches, struggled to contain Wellington’s pace and movement, but kept the score to 2–0 at the interval.
Early in the second half, Wellington took a big step towards making the points safe.
As the rain poured down, they were awarded a penalty for handball, and Douglas Camilo made no mistake from the spot to make it 3–0.
Things went from bad to worse for St Blazey as they were briefly reduced to ten men, with a player sin binned, and then to nine when Tyler Elliot was shown a straight red card for an ugly foul on Camilo.
Wellington took full advantage. On 62 minutes, Byrne turned provider, crossing for Camilo whose header was blocked, but he reacted quickest to tuck in the rebound for his second.
Four minutes later, Sam Towler added a fifth, driving home after the visitors failed to clear.
To their credit, ten-man St Blazey kept going and were rewarded late on when Jordan Bentley looped in a header after a corner and Harry Probyn raced clear to add another five minutes from time.
But there was no denying Wellington, who ran out comfortable winners ahead of Wednesday night’s tasty Somerset Premier Cup derby away to Taunton Town.
