Our first team have a big game tonight (Wednesday) – they make the short trip to take on Taunton Town in the second round of the Somerset Premier Cup.

It will be the first time the sides have met since 2012 and the Tangerines will be looking to cause an upset.

Taunton play in the Southern League’s premier south – two divisions above Wellington.

The lads will go into the game with their confidence high after making it four successive wins by beating St Blazey 5-2 at the Carly Press Ground on Saturday.

But Taunton also had a good result, ending a poor run with a 4-0 victory away to Hanwell Town.

The Peacocks have reduced their usual admission prices for the game to adults £8, concessions £5 and under 16s £2.

Kick-off at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium, Wordsworth Drive, is at 7.45pm.

After tonight’s game, we return to league action on Saturday with a trip down into Cornwall to play Newquay.
