Taunton Saturday League division one: Wellington A 1, Stogursey 3
Due to the effort from everyone in the fantastic cup final win on Thursday and the fact that half the team were out celebrating a team-mate’s birthday the next night, this was always going to be a tough game especially with a squad of only 13,
Stogursey got on the front foot from the off and scored within five minutes to make it 1-0. The next 25 minutes were very scrappy with Warren Toth having our only half decent chance.
The rest of the half was lethargic and, although Wellington looked brighter after the break, Stogursey managed to bag two more goals with Jordan Sellick scoring in reply.
The boys now move on to this weekend – and a Friday curfew at 10pm! – for a home game v North Petherton at the Rec, 2.30pm kick off.
