There’s a packed week ahead as the season draws to a close.
Three games in three days will complete our campaigns in both the Toolstation Western League and the Stitch2Print Devon & Exeter Football League.
Tonight (Tuesday, April 25th), the first team take on Helston Athletic (ko 7.30pm) in a game which has been switched from the Playing Field to Buckland Athletic’s ground at Newton Abbot.
The original match had to be rescheduled after being postponed by the weather and the club’s floodlights have since been taken down ahead of the new cricket season.
That meant it would not be possible for Helston to travel up all the way from Cornwall for an early kick-off in Wellington so fellow Toolstation premier club Buckland agreed to act as hosts.
After that match, it’s a big night for the club’s Reserves tomorrow (Wednesday, April 26th) as they host Beer Albion at the Playing Field, ko 6.30pm.
Nick Buttle’s side know they must win to have an outside chance of third place and potential promotion to the premier division.
Thursday (April 27th) sees the first team round things off v Ilfracombe Town, who agreed to come to the Playing Field for a 6.30pm kick-off.
The Tangerines will be looking to end the season on a high by completing the double after a 2-0 victory in North Devon back in February.
