Stitch2Print Devon & Exeter League first division: Wellington Reserves 2, Uni of Exeter 3rds 5

Our Reserves suffered a disappointing defeat by the students from Exeter at the Playing Field yesterday (Saturday, October 21st).

Wellington started well and dominated the opening 20 minutes, taking the lead with a superbly free-kick from Luke Perry.

But their young opponents gradually took a grip on the game and equalised before half-time.

They continued to dominate after the break, scoring four more goals while Wellington could only manage a consolation from the returning Rohan Poulsom.

Our A team went down to their first league defeat in division one of the West Country Drainage Services Taunton & District Saturday League.

They were beaten 3-2 at home by Wellington Road Dons with their goals coming from Tom Scarlett and an own goal.
