Somerset County Women’s League: Combe St Nicholas Ladies 0, Wellington Ladies 4

Our Ladies travelled to Combe St Nicholas with limited substitutes but still came away with the win.

Tash Hole managed to grab two more goals to bring her season total to seven. The first was assisted by debutant Steph Kay and the second was from a great through ball from Sheldon Hancock.

Adele Bamford made it 3-0 before half-time with her first goal of the season. Wellington were playing uphill in the second half and the defence held well as a unit with numerous waves of attack by Combe.

Towards the end of the game, Tash put Steph through and she finished with a cheeky chip over the goalie.

A great performance and a well deserved win which sets the team up nicely for next week’s game at home to Burnham.

Player-of-the-match: Steph Kay (debutant with one goal and two assists).
