With the first team’s game rained off and no fixture for the Reserves, the spotlight fell on our table-topping A team today (Saturday, February 24th).
Their game against Bridgwater Grasshoppers was switched from the waterlogged Rec to the 3G pitch at Taunton’s Castle School.
And a 4-2 win saw the Tangerines cement their lead at the top of division one in the West Country Drainage Services Taunton & District Saturday League.
Their scorers were man-of-the-match Tom Scarlett (two), Alfie Hill and Jordan Sellick.
Tom was also man-of-the-match and he is pictured being congratulated by joint manager Matt Groves.
The A team lead the table by a single point with three games to play – next up, they take on Nether Stowey in the President’s Cup on Wednesday night.
