Our U9s travelled to Watchet yesterday (Saturday, April 13th) in glorious sunshine and put in an impressive performance, showcasing their football prowess throughout the morning.

The young Tangerines played some excellent football in spells, dominating possession and creating numerous chances.

They kept the play simple, passing the ball across the pitch with precision, which allowed their attacking players to find space and threaten the opposition goal.

The hard work and discipline of the Wellington players paid off, as they emerged victorious in all four games, scoring 13 goals and conceding only one.

The scorers included Jack Jorge (three), Rex Beatty (three), Jude Norman, Louis Molloy, Fraser May, Tom Kennen, and thunderbolt strikes from defenders Logan Thorpe and Kohen Woodgate.

The performance of the team was a credit to the players, who demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to winning the ball back throughout the pitch.

This collective effort laid the foundation for their impressive results.

A special mention must go to Rex Beatty, who scored his 100th career goal for the club, and Omeiza Zutu Onozutu, who made his long-awaited debut in goal, pulling off some great saves and looking composed between the sticks.

The squad would like to extend a big thank you to their kit sponsors, Roadchef, and their jacket sponsors, R&M Motors, for their continued support.
