We’re delighted to announce that it’s ‘as you were’ on the managerial front for next season.
The club’s committee met last night (Sunday, May 19th) and voted unanimously to reappoint all of our senior bosses.
Richard Cherry will continue as first team manager, Mark Owen will again run the Reserves with Warren Toth and Matt Groves remaining in joint charge of the A team.
In the Somerset County Women’s League, John Sellick will manage the Wildcats Ladies and Nyima Touray will run Wellington Ladies.
Our chairman Mike Hall said: ““We are absolutely delighted that all our managers have agreed to continue.
“The appointments were confirmed on the day after we celebrated a highly successful season at our presentation evening.
“All of our sides have made great progress and have so much to build on – doing that with the same management teams in charge makes absolute sense.
“I’d like to thank them all – along with their coaches and other helpers – for their fantastic work on behalf of Wellington AFC.
“We can all have a short break now but are already looking forward to next season.”
Among the club’s achievements in 2023-24, the first team retained their premier status in the Toolstation League while the Reserves and A team are both set for promotion.
