More than 100 people enjoyed our Wanderers U13s’ presentation evening, held at the club on Saturday.
Wanderers had a fantastic season finishing as runners-up in their league and gaining promotion to the top division – winning 12, drawing three and suffering only one defeat in the last game of the season.
They also made it to the quarter-finals of the league cup, being knocked out by the eventual winners.
Wanderers have also had a busy summer with a friendly against a team from Newport and tournaments every weekend throughout June and into July.
They enjoyed success in these tournaments winning the Staplegrove cup and the Wellington School championship and reaching three other semi-finals.
Highlight of the season was a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers where the boys represented the Wellington badge with pride and made some unforgettable memories.
