We play our second game of the season in the premier division of the Jewson Western League tonight (Tuesday, July 28th).
After Saturday’s 4-2 defeat away to newly-promoted Bovey Tracey, the Tangerines travel to Shepton Mallet, ko 7.30pm.
Chairman Mike Hall will again be in charge of the side – applications for the vacant manager’s role have now closed.
The club endured a challenging close season after manager Richard Cherry stepped down in May following three years in charge.
Most of last season’s squad subsequently signed for other clubs and Richard’s replacement as boss, Tornado Bello, stepped down after less than a month in the role.
However, our re-vamped squad gave a good account of themselves at Bovey Tracey who were runaway champions of the South West Peninsula League’s east division last season.
We’re back on the road this Saturday with another trip into Devon, this time to play Ivybridge Town.
