Taunton Saturday League: North Petherton Reserves 0, Wellington A 5

Welly stuck to their new preferred 3-5-2 formation with Rob Hall returning to the team after spending the last few months with the reserves and Jared Holder slotting into a back three.
Welly started brightly and dominated throughout the game, Jordan Sellick getting his 24th goal of the season to put Welly 1-0 up.
Welly continued to press Pethy back and Liam Thorne scored his first goal of the game. Some good team play then saw Wes Poulsom unmarked to slot home to make it 3-0.
The second half started similarly and Thorne soon had his second with some good work down the right side by the Welly boys. Petherton’s only threat came from their substitute striker who was isolated for long periods of the game but managed to created a couple of half decent chances for himself.
Thorne completed hit hat-trick with 15 minutes remaining and, overall, it was a solid comfortable win for the boys.
