We are without a fixture on the opening day of the Toolstation League season and start our premier campaign with a trip to newly-promoted Keynsham Town on Tuesday, August 6th (7.45pm).

The first team completed their pre-season friendlies with a 2-2 draw away to Chard Town with goals from new striker Joe Wilkinson and defender Lewis Pocock.
The other warm-up games saw the team lose 5-2 away to Tiverton Town followed by a 4-3 defeat by Dorchester Sports while our third match ended in a 1-1 draw at Exwick Villa.

After the game at Chard, Wilkinson (previously with Staplegrove) and Carl Jones, who has played for us previously, both put pen to paper while we are also hoping to re-sign Ian Bellinger for the new season.

Great news that six of our youth teams won their division’s sportsmanship awards – Tigers U11s, Rovers U12s, Rovers U13s, United U14s, Under 15s and Under 18s.

The Toolstation Western League AGM confirmed that, after Chipping Sodbury’s successful appeal against being moved, the premier division will have an extra team, taking the total to 21. The new league season will start on Saturday, August 3rd.

We have been drawn at home to Roman Glass in the preliminary round of the Les Phillips Cup with the tie to take place on Wednesday, September 18th.
