Massive congratulations to Brooke Aspin who made her first start for the England Women’s Professional Development Phase Tournament Squad in the Algarve Tournament today.

Last week, Brooke came on as a sub for the final 25 minutes of England’s opening game, a 4-3 comeback victory against Norway.

But she worked hard to earn a place in the starting line-up to face the Netherlands – who had beaten Norway 4-0 – in what was the tournament decider this afternoon.

Brooke, 16, played for 70 minutes as England were pipped 1-0.

The talented defender already plays for England Under 17s and Bristol City Women in the FA Championship – their next game is at home to Lewes in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup third round on December 12th.
