We will be remembering our much-loved friend and team-mate Lloyd Manning tonight (Wednesday, March 22nd) as our Reserves play host to Chard Town Reserves in the Stitch2Print Devon & Exeter League.

Lloyd, who sadly passed away before Christmas, played for the Reserves and his family have launched a fund-raising campaign in his memory.

They are raising money for the charity CALM – Campaign Against Living Miserably whose patron is the West Ham and England player Declan Rice.

Alongside the game itself, there will be a raffle with Lloyd’s family having amassed an incredible 96 prizes, which have been donated by local businesses and individuals (see below).

There will also be a barbecue and bucket collections during the game to add to the fund-raising effort.

Our Reserves’ manager Nick Buttle said: “Lloyd was a hugely popular member of the team and the club as a whole.

“We were all devastated to hear of his passing – and he’s greatly missed by everyone.

”We are hoping tonight will give a massive boost to the coffers of this wonderful charity.”

A special programme has been produced to mark the occasion and you can read it by CLICKING HERE.
