We are delighted to have made two more new signings ahead of our second game of the Toolstation League season at Shepton Mallet tomorrow (Tuesday, August 1st).
Our new management team of Richard Cherry and Jack Bown-Porter have been rebuilding the squad after a number of departures during the season.
The opening match of the premier division campaign at Helston on Saturday saw three new signings in the starting 11 and five more on the bench.
All eight youngsters played their part as the Tangerines came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against the highly rated Cornish side.
Now, they have been joined by two more players – both with Toolstation League experience.
Midfielder Josh Lukins (above left), 21, has played for both Axminster Town and Bishops Lydeard.
He said: “I’m looking forward to challenging myself and showing what I have to offer.
“I’m excited to get involved with the boys and look forward to the season ahead.”
The second new signing is 6ft 5in central defender Jordan Hayman, 20, who joins us from Bishops Lydeard.
He said: “I’m excited about this opportunity – looking forward to meeting up with the team and making my debut.”
Kick-off at Shepton Mallet is at 7.30pm.
