This week’s sub-zero temperatures have taken their toll on matches today (Saturday, January 20th).
The Playing Field pitch failed a morning inspection and so our game v Oldland Abbotonians in the premier division of the Toolstation League has been called off.
The inspection – conducted by local ref Jordan Lee in consultation with the match referee – found that parts of the playing surface were still frozen.
It was a similar story at the Rec so our A team’s match v Norton Fitzwarren has also been postponed.
However, the Reserves’ game at Lympstone definitely goes ahead.
