There were two more wins for our Wildcats girls yesterday (Saturday, March 8th) and here are the reports.

Summer H.
Wildcats U11s travelled to Pen Mill and started full of energy after a very lively warm-up which led to them making the first breakthrough to go in front.
The goal came from a very clever corner kick which was pulled back by Isla M to Maria G at the edge of the area, who then blasted a shot past the opposition keeper.
The rest of the first half was quite evenly contested and, not long before half time, Pen Mill got back on level terms.
The Wildcats started the second half rejuvenated and quickly got back in front with a fierce strike into the roof of the net by Hetty H.
The Wildcats then took full control of the game, creating numerous chances, but failed to finish their chances, until a speculative strike from normal goalkeeper Remi S, who was playing in midfield, took a deflection and went in.
Another great effort from the girls who thoroughly deserved the 3-1 win with Summer H was named player-of-the-match.

Wildcats U12s hosted Minehead at Court Fields on the best pitch conditions of the season, in an exciting and enthralling match.

Aaron Adams with Amelia W.
Both teams came out ready to challenge each other, battling for every ball. The Wildcats soon found their rhythm, dominating the game and spending most of the first half in Minehead’s territory. They came close to scoring twice with efforts from Amelia S and Summer O.
Just before half-time, the deadlock was broken when Scarlett H skilfully took on her defender and delivered a beautiful pass to Bella W who unleashed a powerful shot from distance to make it 1-0 at the break.
The second half was played in the same fashion with the Wildcats spending lengthy periods attacking the Minehead goal.
But they were unable to get the additional goal they deserved and the game finished 1-0 with Amelia W named player-of-the-match.
This was Wellington’s sixth clean sheet in a row, making it eight in total from their 12 league games, as their season goes from strength to strength.
