Three of our Wildcats girls’ sides were in action at the weekend with the U12s maintaining their unbeaten record.

U12s – Amelia S.
Wildcats U12s faced off against Huish Tigers in their penultimate league match.
Wellington created several early chances but struggled to find the back of the net.
Huish posed a threat with their goalkeeper’s powerful kicks which sent the ball deep into the Wildcats half, only to be met with a defence which held firm and cleared their lines effectively.
Just before half-time, the deadlock was broken when Iyla J scored after a goalmouth scramble.
The second half was fiercely contested, with Huish working diligently to find an equaliser. However, it was Wildcats who doubled their tally, after some determined play from Amelia S, who broke through to skilfully tuck the ball into the bottom corner.
Shortly afterwards, player-of-the-match Amelia netted her second goal, sealing the game 3-0 at full-time.
This victory kept the U12s unbeaten as they head into the final game of the season, needing just one more win to clinch the title.

In good spirits after putting in their best performance of the season, Wildcats U13s faced Middlezoy.
Playing uphill in the first half, Wildcats were indebted to their keeper Alisha J and centre-backs Georgie L and Casey O, supported by Gracie L, who prevented any Middlezoy breakthrough.
London A, Anya S and Ruby A, playing in the middle, were successful in taming the Middlezoy attack.
Determination from across the field saw Cheyenne C challenging for an attack but it was Middlezoy who opened the scoring as their striker ran on to a long ball for a clinical finish shortly before half-time.
The second half saw Wildcats with a spring in their step, Cheyenne C making critical runs, one of which saw her pass three defenders before being brought down for a free-kick which was unfortunate to hit the side netting.
Midfielder London A was unlucky to skim the crossbar while Wildcats’ defence held strong. Middlezoy had a few counters but again were stopped by Alisha J.
Despite a superb game and their best performance this season, Wildcats were beaten 1-0.
Player-of-the-match: Alisha J

U14s – Georgia P and Flo N.
Wildcats U14s welcomed Swiss Valley for their final home game of the season.
Normally fast starters, this time it was Swiss who came out of the traps, putting pressure on the defence and keeper. Swiss took the lead and shortly after doubled it with a well-timed through ball.
Having made some tactical changes, Wildcats grew into the game, gaining possession and forcing pressure down both flanks. Wildcats had a few chances of their own to which Swiss were indebted to their keeper.
The second half saw the usual fast paced game going end to end.
Wildcats were finding their flow with accurate passing to spend sustained periods in the Swiss half, and were unfortunate to do everything but find the back of the net.
With the majority of the battle in the middle of the park, the game ended in a 2-0 defeat.
Player-of-the-match went to Flo N for a superb performance, demonstrating her adaptability across different positions.
Credit must also go to Peaches M who had her finest game, Immy M who was courageous and the rest of the squad for their selfless team play.
