Our Town U15s held their end-of season presentations at the club.
The team finished 12th in a highly competitive Taunton & District Youth League U15s division with three wins, three draws and nine defeats.
There were plenty of encouraging moments throughout the season, with the squad continuing to develop and showing clear signs of progress against strong opposition.
Town opened their season back in September with a 2-2 draw away at Bridgwater Wolves before recording a memorable 3-1 home victory over Watchet Town shortly afterwards.
Although results became difficult against several of the division’s strongest sides, the squad continued to show plenty of improvement as the season progressed.
There were several notable performances during the campaign, including an entertaining 3-3 draw away at Middlezoy Rovers Harriers and an impressive 4-2 victory at North Curry in December, one of the team’s standout results of the season.
Narrow defeats against Huish Tigers and Nether Stowey in early March demonstrated how competitive many of the fixtures were.
Always full of fight and tenacity, Town ended their season positively with a 2-2 draw away at Staplegrove Spartans before an excellent 3-2 home win over Wembdon Dragons – a result which gives the squad plenty to build on ahead of next season.
