Taunton Saturday League division one: Wellington A 6, Old Inn 98 4
Our A team picked up their first win of the season as they shared ten goals with Old Inn 98 at Court Fields on Saturday.
The Tangerines went flying out of the blocks and took a commanding 4–1 lead into half-time, with goals from Jordan Sellick, Alfie Hill (two) and Matt Brereton.
The second half was a much more open affair, with Old Inn pushing to get themselves back into the game.
A red card for Old Inn gave Wellington the advantage, and the boys made the extra man count.
Alfie completed his hat-trick, before Dylan Owens added another to put the result beyond doubt.
Old Inn managed to find the net a few more times, but Wellington held on to secure an entertaining victory.
A massive effort from everyone involved and a great feeling to get those first three points of the season.
