Statement from Wellington AFC

CLUB STATEMENT

Wellington AFC have parted company with manager Clive Jones and he has been replaced by experienced defender Tim Legg.

Results since the start of the season have obviously been disappointing and we feel a change is needed to address the situation.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Clive for all his efforts as manager, particularly in leading our return to the premier division of the Toolstation League.

Tim Legg first pulled on a Wellington shirt for our under-11s 20 years ago and knows the club inside-out.

As well as his extensive playing experience, he has also coached at various levels for a number of years and we are confident he has all the attributes to take our club forward on the pitch.
