Our Brooke is captain of England!

We are so proud to announce that a member of our footballing family has become an England captain.
Brooke Aspin has been chosen to skipper England Schools Under 15 girls in an international tournament in Salou, Spain, next month – and she’s still only 13.
Brooke’s dad, Craig, played for our first team, her uncle, Tim Legg, is a current first-teamer and has captained the side, her grandad, Graham, also played for the first-team and is now our vice-chairman, and her great-grandad, Selwyn, was heavily involved in the club throughout his life with various roles including chairman and first-team manager.
It is her second trip abroad this year – she attended a training camp in Holland during half-term last month in which England played two games, winning 8-0 and 5-0.
The Salou tournament is being staged between April 21 and 24 and England’s first match will be against Gibraltar Schools, followed by a game against the Republic of Ireland. The winners of the group will go through to the final. with the other teams competing being Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Brooke will still be eligible for play for England U15s again next season.
