We are delighted to welcome Sports Therapist Lauren Watts to our management team.
Having completed her Sports Therapy degree at Hartpury University, Lauren set up her own business in 2020 and now works from the Hurley Clinic in Taunton.
She has worked in men’s football since she was 18 for various clubs, including Brimscombe & Thrupp and Dorchester Town, and spent a year working in women’s football with Exeter City as well as completing five years with youth teams in the GSFA and ESFA.
Lauren said: “I’m looking forward to a new challenge and a new club – here’s to a season of limited injuries, lots of hard work and football fun!”
She added: “As a sports therapist, I’m there to provide pitchside first aid and trauma management care during matchdays for both home and away games.
“I will also be attending training sessions to offer injury assessments, diagnosis and recovery through various methods of rehabilitation and treatment modalities in order to get any injured players back on the pitch in a safe manner and injury free.”
First-team manager Tim Legg said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Lauren to the club.
“Her appointment will help us continue to take the squad forward and it’s great to have her on board.”
Meanwhile, our pre-season programme is virtually complete. The players return for training on 13th June and friendlies (all away) are as follows:
2nd July – Cheddar.
7th July – Sidmouth Town.
