An excellent start to pre-season for our Reserves, winning away to Elmore Reserves.

The boys began well, playing some great football out from the back and creating lots of chances.

They went into the break 1-0 up but a scrappy start to the second half let the home team get one back.

The lads reacted brilliantly and finished the game 4-1 winners with goals from Aaron Hawkings, Aaron Merry, Wes Poulsom and the returning Joey Conway, who was named man-of-the-match and is pictured with joint manager Mike Owen.

The Reserves have two more friendlies – at Kentisbeare next Friday, August 4th (7pm), and Lyme Regis on Wednesday, August 9th (7pm).

Our A team started their friendlies with a 4-2 defeat at Tor with goals from Alfie Hill and Matt Turner.

Their pre-season continues away to Minehead Reserves/Colts on August 5th, AFC Newmarket on the 12th and Redgate on the 19th.
